Adam Rodriguez
I have been part of the Rising Sun Christian Community since moving to New Mexico in 2019, officially becoming a member in January 2020. RSCC quickly became more than just a place of worship; it became family. In 2021, I was invited to serve on the Board of Directors, and the following year, Pastor Vangie and Deacon Paula invited me to join the Board of Elders. It has been a profound privilege to steward both the operational business and the spiritual well-being of our church.
In May 2025, I reached a major personal and academic milestone, graduating with my PhD in Theologian Sciences and Prophetic Philosophy. Throughout this journey, and through the many twists and turns of life, the RSCC family has stood unshakeable by my side. In moments of deep vulnerability and hurt when I could not stand on my own, this community held me up and carried me through.
Having grown up in a church tradition where I was told I was an abomination, I carried deep wounds. Yet, I always knew in my heart that the Lord loved me, and that I loved Him. While I have been fortunate to be part of amazing, affirming churches in the past, it is at RSCC that
I found an unparalleled sense of unity, love, and support. God has used this church family as an instrument of profound healing, strengthening my faith and showing me the true,
unconditional nature of His love.
